Norton Plaza Sushi Review

So a couple of weeks ago it was my Mum's birthday and we had spent the morning in Sydney's largest bead shop (which Mum and I both love to bits) and for lunch we walked down the road to Leichhardt's famous Norton Street, which is known for it's Italian cuisine. And this is what we ended up having for lunch :P

We had somehow ended up inside Norton Plaza and found a very small "blink and you'd miss it/hole in the wall" Japanese restaurant across from the Coles supermarket. So for Mum's birthday lunch we had Japanese! The interior decor was clean and modern while the seating was comfortable.

Mum and I had the tempura/teriyaki bento and Ramon had the katsudon. Each meal came with a miso soup. The bento had rice, chicken teriyaki, mixed vegetable tempura with dipping sauce and salad.

The food was pretty tasty and fresh and surprisingly filling - We were pretty hungry when we sat down, but by the end we were satisfied. There was also a steady stream of customers while we were there so it looks like it's popular with the locals too.

Price-wise it was mid-range. Our lunches with drinks worked out about $16 a person.
